Scalextric have always been famous for producing accurate models of sports and racing cars in a constant 1/32 scale over the years and these latest arrivals certain add to their reputation.
First we have the Lotus Evora GT4 from 2019 in Gulf Edition livery and has the number C4183.
One of the most famous and iconic sponsors in motorsport history, Gulf are synonymous with winning and GT racing. As are Lotus. With the Evora they have a ready built GT4 contender, and in the hands of Stanbridge Motorsport in this years GT Cup series the car has proved not only to be a great looking machine, but a brilliantly liveried one too.
Next release Is this stunning Aston Martin GT3 also from 2019, and has the number C4076.
For 2019 British GT Championship stalwart’s TF Sport moved to the new Aston Martin GT3. Joining Graham Davidson in one car was reigning British GT champion and superstar of the series Johnny Adam.
The car looks fantastic in its matte blue scheme, reproduced faithfully here by Scalextric. And of the GT3 field it is not only the class around the British circuits but also your Scalextric track at home. A contender for the 2019 title this Aston Martin is a real performance car.
If you’re into Formula One racing cars from the 1970’s, then this Tyrrell 001 is a must for your collection. It come with the number C4161.
The first of Tyrrell’s own cars the 001 saw its debut in the Canadian GP of 1970. Qualified on pole by Jackie Stewart the car proved at first to be fast but unreliable, retiring with a broken axle while leading. But Formula One was soon to be taken by storm by this small UK team, with the same design taking Stewart to the title in 1971. This icon of Formula One history is now available for the first time in Scalextric form, appearing as it did at that first Formula one race in Canada.
And for the final release we have this cracking BMW (G20) 330i MSport featured in the 2019 BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) and comes with the number C4194.
For 2019 WSR and BMW moved away from the trusty 1-series BTCC car and developed a brand new car based upon the 330i M-Sport. This car has proved to be the class of a very competitive BTCC field. Its design and RWD platform, coupled with some excellent driving skills of Andrew Jordan, our 2019 Scalextric brand ambassador, the car has proved to be an excellent addition to the grid, both on the real racing field and on the Scalextric track. With Andrew finishing a tight second to eventual champion Colin Turkington.
