Wolseley 15/50

354 BPD

Year: 1957
Make: Wolseley
Model: 15/50

Event: Streetscene

Launched in 1956 and like the similar shaped MG Magnette ZA, it shared the familiar BMC B Series engine, although the MG had twin carburettors while the Wolseley had a single one.

Its 1489cc engine had a top speed of 78 mph, while with all the extra wood and chrome fittings, the 0-60 mph was a poor 27 seconds !

Following Wolseley tradition, it had a winged radiator top and a light up Wolseley bade on the radiator, so you could spot fellow Wolseley drivers at  night.
