Morris Minor 1000 Split Screen    

Lovely old photo we bought recently old this old Morris Minor 1000 early slit screen model basking in the sunshine on a warm Summer Sunday afternoon. Just typifies the British countryside !

The Morris Minor is your classic British car of the post war years, being launched in 1948 as the Minor MM with its distinctive light either side of the front grill, it was followed by the series II in 1952 which had the lights on the wings. Our sample here is a 1955 which is a later Series II with the newer grille with horizontal bars which then became part of the later 1000 model which was launched in 1956.

Our sample was photographed in the early 1970’s when it was 15 years old and slightly worse for wear
