Mercury 19A Four Door Sedan    

A wartime made Mercury car made in 1941, but only registered in the UK in 1952. Wonder if was brought over in WW2 for the US Forces and then kept on until being demobbed and sold in a government auction ?

Love this old photo we recently bought, especially as it has a Morris Minor 1000, a Triumph Vitesse Convertible, a Rover P5, a Ford Cortina MkIII, a Volkswagen T2 Camper Van and a Ford Granada Mk2 Estate car in the background. We think that dates the photo to the mid 1970’s

Looking at the DVLA website, the Mercury is still around and is taxed and MOT’d, even though it shows it as a Ford, which of course Mercury was part of.

Let’s hope the current owners sees this photo and gets in touch !
