Lagonda 2.6 Litre Drophead Coupe

XMY 138

Year: 1952
Make: Lagonda
Model: 2.6 Litre Drophead Coupe

Event: Streetscene

Launched by Lagonda in 1947, they had troubles manufacturing it due to the post-war steel shortages.

But in 1948, Lagonda was taken over by David Brown who was able to meet the demand for this beautiful car.

Fitted with a 2580cc straight six engine designed by Bentley, it was made in saloon and drophead coupe design.

Production ceased in 1952, by which time over 120 drophead coupes had been made.

Our sample here looks very striking in it’s old english white and maroon paint scheme.
