We added this old photo to our collection which appears to have been taken somewhere in Sussex, possibly even Brighton, as the car’s parked outside a branch of the Sussex Building Society ! Although it looks like they’ve kerbed the from wheel as the chrome wheel centre has fallen off !
The Jaguar XJ6 was introduced in 1968 and was available with either a 4.2 or 2.8 litre engine.
In 1973, after 5 year’s production, it was facelifted to become the Series II with a higher front bumper and a lower grille.
We’ve acknowledged the copyright to WH Photographic on the back of this old photo, but can’t find if they’re still around now.
