Jaguar C Type Replica

PSJ 177

Year: 1962
Make: Jaguar
Model: C Type Replica

Event: Streetscene

This is a lovely example of a Jaguar C Type, which at first glance could be an original.

However checking the registration on the DVLA website reveals that it was a Jaguar XK registered in 1962. So we suspect it may be an E Type conversion. But despite that, it’s a gorgeous looking car and certainly one we’d love to see in the My Classic garage at home.

Only 53 examples of the original C Type, with the ‘C’ standing for Competition, were built by Sir William Lyons, most going for export between 1951 and 1953. They were fitted with the famous XK engine that had been fitted to XK120.
