Following World War 2, many old pre war designs were out back into production again and this is the same story with the Ford Prefect.
Apart from the fact Ford invested in new front wings that had the headlights integrated into them.
Introduced in 1949, it was produced until 1953 when the new modern looking 100E was launched.
Fitted with the 1172cc side valve engine, it had a 0-60 of 22 seconds which was faster than the 100E that replaced it!!!
We picked up this lovely photo of a Devon registered model at a n antique shop in the West Country.
