Ford introduced the 100E range in 1953 which included the Popular, Anglia & Prefect, with the Prefect being the most expensive and posher model in the range. It even had the different grille with it’s vertical stripes to distinguish it from the others.
But it still had a the same side valve 1172cc engine as the others which gave it a top speed of 70 mph and a 0-60 of 32 seconds.
Our old photo shows a lovely example with a Kent registration number.
