Austin 7 Ruby    

Introduced in 1923 and in production for 16 years until 1939 when war broke out. The Baby Austin was Britain’s answer to the Ford Model T.

It was fitted with a 696cc engine when first introduced which gave a 7hp rating in the methods of the time, hence the Austin 7 or Seven, but very early on it was increased to a 747cc engine.

It was made with a number of different bodies, from the original open top Tourer, to the Chummy and finally this New Ruby which was introduced in 1936.
