Lovely photo of this Consul Capri convertible taken at the seaside on a summer’s day.
Many Consul Capri’s were converted to convertibles by the firm of Crayford in the 1960’s and this is one of them.
Then the owner has added a sporty US style side moulding to the rear quarter to set it apart, as well as adding white wall tyre trims which were just the thing in the early 1960’s.
Fitted with a 1598 cc Kent engine, which were later fitted to the Escort Mk1 Mexico, so it had a bit of go in it for the time.
We love this car and think it would make a lovely holiday car to keep at one’s holiday home in the South West !
