Another autojumble purchase, we loved this photo of an urban Consul with its cap wearing driver off to a show somewhere.
Lovely two tone colour scheme of off white body with a red roof with its all important white wall tyres.
The Mk2 Consul was introduced in 1956 and was made for 6 years until the Mk3 Zephyr/Zodiac came out, and the Consul model dropped.
It was the basic model of the Mk2 range followed by the Zephyr and the Zodiac as the top model.
