The Herald 1200 was launched in 1961 with increased power of 39 bhp over the original 948cc engine, although the actual engine was 1147cc not 1200cc.

The estate car was a very functional vehicle which was especially great if you had big dogs and wanted to take them out for the day ! Like the other models in the range, it had the rakish line back to its tail fins, which were the design feature to have in the early 1960’s.

With a JVX registration, we can tell this was originally registered in Essex
